pSicomac Engine Company No. 3 won the Townships 55th Annual Fire Department Inspection that was held on Friday March 14 2014 and concluded in an awards dinner ceremony the next night.ppThe township volunteer firefighters spent many weeks dismantling cleaning and repairing if necessary the fire pumpers and trucks of the three fire companies that protect Wyckoff.nbspThey also spent countless hours honing up on their firefighting knowledge in preparation for the annual inspection.ppA panel of five independent firefighting experts conducted the inspections of the fire apparatus and the knowledge of the firefighters. Fire Chief Lou Graglia emphasized that the annual contest provides an opportunity for the fire departmentnbspto ensure that the Townships fire fighting equipment is in the best possible condition by conducting a thorough reviewnbspof the fire trucks equipment and the knowledge of the officersnbspdrivers and firefighters of all threenbspfire companies in the Township. ppThe inspection is an intense competition between Wyckoffs three fire companies. Firefighters preparenbspfor six to seven weeks a numbernbspof nights prior to the inspection.
