pAt approximately 11am Sunday Morning the Wyckoff Police Department toned out Wyckoffs bravest for a reported garage fire on Quackenbush Avenue.ppChief Murphy 230 signed into service and while responding could see the column of black smoke billowing in the air above the center of Wyckoff.nbsp As per protocols dispatch notified a mutual aid engine from Franklin Lakes as well as FAST Teams from Ramsey and Hohokus.ppUpon arrival Chief Murphy reported a fully involved detached two car garage with a vehicle in the garage and possible extension to the residence and an ajadcent garage.nbsp Chief Murphy then requested NORCON to be activated as well as filling out the full second alarm assignment for coverage.ppEngine 231 OIC BC Vanderplaat signed into service and arrived on location moments later.nbsp Upon arrival the crew from 231 established a water supply and began to get water on the fire.nbsp Additional incoming unts were Tower Ladder 241 OIC DC Rose Engine 233 OIC Lt. Forsyth Engine 232 OIC DC Graglia and the remainder of the Wyckoff assignment.nbsp Additional arriving Wyckoff crews stretched additional lines to help extinguish the blaze and perform overhaul before the fire could extend to the residence.ppGood job to everyone on scene for a quick knock down and preventing any extension to the adjoining structures.ppSpecial thanks to all of the mutual aid units that responded to assist.ppPictures courtesy of Waldwick Fire Department.pp-239p
