pSeveral members of the Wyckoff Fire Department Apprentice Firefighter Program were recognized this week for volunteering their time to help the Meals on Wheels Program.nbsp The members helped Former Chief Nick Ciampo deliver meals to the Wyckoff Residents who are not able to leave their homes due to the weather or medical conditions.ppBelow is a letter to the editor that appeared on WyckoffPatch.com recognizing the membersppTo the EditornbspppOn that snowy blowy blizzard morning of Dec. 27 the Wyckoff Fire Department again came through in aiding Meals on Wheels of Wyckoff to deliver meals to our shut-ins.nbspppNick Ciampo organized the team and drove the rescue truck through the drifts.nbsp Three junior fireman Andrew Bell William Pettit and James Viapiano along with Fireman Thomas Martin delivered the meals after they shoveled through the walks leading up to the homes.ppConnie Yoke a longtime Meals on Wheels volunteer rode on the truck to point out the houses. She had just delivered to them on Christmas day as she has for many years with the assistance of her grandchildren.ppWe hear so much negative news these days itrsquos nice to know good things are happening.
