On Saturday evening January 2 2008 The Wyckoff Fire Department was assigned the coverage detail for the Borough of Franklin Lakes from 1700hrs until 0700hrs Sunday. At approximately 1853hrs dispatch toned out for an activated fire alarm on Pulis AvenueFL DC Brock239 Truck241 Rescue242 and Engine232 responded. Investigation showed the alarm was set off by burnt food. All units were returned shortly thereafter. At approximately 0618 hrs dispatch toned out for a motor vehicle crash with extrication on Ewing AveFL. Chief Murphy230 Rescue242 and Engine232 responded. Upon arrival of Chief Murphy he reported that he had a Ford F-150 on the front lawn of the residence with heavy damage to the vehicle. It appears that the vehicle had struck a utility pole and then a tree. The driver of the vehicle was partially ejected and trapped from the legs down. Upon the arrival of the Rescue the frame of the vehicle was cut and spread and the victim was able to be removed to F.L. BLS. Engine232 arrived on scene and deployed one attack line as a precaution.
