pOn Friday Morning at approximately 10am the members of the WFD were dispatched to Rt 208 Northbound in the area of Cedar Hill Avenue for a utility pole on fire.ppEngine 232 OIC FF. Warnet Engine 231 OIC DC Vanderplaat and Engine 233 OIC FF M. Labarck all responded into the scene on the initial dispatch.ppUpon arrival DC Vanderplaat reported that the top of the utility pole was on fire and in danger of falling onto the highway.nbsp Attachednbspto the unstable portion of the pole was a guidewirenbspwhich connected to anothernbsputility pole on the southbound section of Route 208.ppCrews stood bynbspto establish a safety zone around the incident while the utility company responded.nbspnbspDue to detiriorating conditions of the pole and potential for the pole and guidewire to fall into the lanes of traffic both thenbspnorth and southbound lanes ofnbspRt. 208 hadnbspto be closed fornbspa short period of timeppJust before 12pm the NJ DOT and State Police arrived to help with the highwaynbspclosure.nbspnbsp Shortly thereafter a PSEampGnbspcrew arrived and were able to secure the pole and guidewirenbsprectifying the situation.ppAll crews were returned to service shortly after 12pm.nbspp
