At 744am on Thursday morning dispatch toned out a mutual aid request for the Tower Ladder to respond to Franklin Lakes for a fire in a residence on Birch Road. Tower Ladder 241 OIC DC. Brock responded and assisted our brothers in Franklin Lakes. Contractors working on the residence had a small fire ignite in some paint cans being used on the first floor of the 2.5 story wood frame residence. The fire extended into the exterior wall and floor area within the fire room. The crew from 241 was assigned to check the basement area for any possible extension.At 800am dispatch toned out a request for a mutual aid engine for the standby assignment at Franklin Lakes Southside Firehouse Wyckoff Westside. Engine 231 OIC DC.Baker responded for the coverage assignment.All units were returned to service a short time later and returned to the Township.Congratulations to Chief Bohny on his first official job as the 3rd Battalion Commander -249
