Last evening the membership of the WFD participated in a drill to sharpen their skills in an acquired structure in the township.As seen in the pictures attached to this story members participated in a Mask Confidence Course which is an annual mandatory requirement that allows firefighters to become more familiar with their self contained breating apparatus while being in a confined space with several obstructions and challenges. This training in a drill scenario helps our members become more comfortable in this type of atmosphere at an actual fire scene.A second evolution was also conducted training members how to remove a trapped firefighter or victim from the floor below with alternate methods in the event that the use of a staircase or ladder is not possible.Thank you to the members who setup and monitored the drill.-249
