With the excessive heat and thunderstorms in the Northern New Jersey Area the volunteers of the Wyckoff Fire Department have been keeping busyThis past weekend Wyckoffs Bravest logged over 15 calls ranging from power lines down arcing wires trees down on residences and numerous other storm related emergencies. The pictures attached to this story are from one of the many calls over the weekend. On Sunday Afternoon dispatch toned out a general alarm assignment for a power line down on the roof of a residence with an active fire burning on the roof. Chief Murphy 230 DC Baker 237 Engine 233 OIC FF. DeBlock Truck 241 OIC BN Rose Engine 232 OIC BC Zuckerman and Res2cue 242 all responded to the scene.Crews investigated and determined that the power line had moved itself off of the roof and there was no active fire present. Interior and exterior crews checked for any extension into the residence and crews were returned to service a short time later.-249 228
