Engine 234 Responds Mutual Aid to Hawthorne

Last night at approximately 5:00 p.m, the Wyckoff Fire Department was dispatched out to respond mutual aid to Hawthorne as part of a second alarm assignment that was sent to stand by. Engine 234 responded with eight out of Company 1 and proceeded to stand by at Hawthorne Co. 5 with a ladder from North Haledon and an engine from Glen Rock. Hawthorne knocked the fire down quickly and prevented further extension, and Wyckoff and the other standby companies were returned without going to work.
