pThis weekend proved to be a very busy weekend for the members of the WFD.nbsp On Saturday while conducting our Boot Drive members were dispatched to two alarms of fire.nbsp The first alarm was on Coudert Place which was an accidental activation due to contractors working.nbsp The second alarm was on Sicomac Avenue and activated due to smoke from cooking.nbspppOn Sunday Morning Chief Rose 230 and Rescue 242 both responded to Hawthorne for RescueExtrication Drill.nbspnbsp Hawthorne was hosting a mutual aid extrication drill on Route 208 involving a car down into a ravine with five victims trapped.ppUpon arrival the Wyckoff Crew coordinated efforts with Hawthorne Rescue 5 who were begining the initial stages of assessment and operations.nbsp Crews worked side by side for the next three hours working to stabilize extricate and remove the victims from the vehicle.ppGreat job by all who operated on scene and special thanks to the Chief Speranza andnbspthenbspHawhtorne FD for hosting this great drill.ppa hrefhttphawthornefire.orgfullstory.php161844httphawthornefire.orgfullstory.php161844appLater in the afternoon on Sunday Wyckoff Co 3 was dispatched mutual aid to Hawthorne for a working fire on Prescott Ave.nbspnbsp Engine 233 signed into service and was directed to standby.nbspnbsp Hawthorne crews were able to make an aggressive interior attack and quickly knock down the fire.ppAt approximately 630pm Oakland FD requested a NORCON Activation as well as Tower Ladder 241 for standby due to a large brush fire they were operating at which tied up all of their units.nbspnbsp TL 241 responded into the scene for standby along with Franklin Lakes and Midland Park.nbsp All units returned to service at approximately 830pm.p
