On Thursday November 29 2007 at approximately 1315 hrs dispatch toned out for a mutual aid assist to Franklin Lakes for the landing of the State Police Northstar Helicopter. Franklin Lakes Fire Department units were involved in a serious vehicle extrication on Route 287. Wyckoff Chief Murphy Engine 231OIC Lt Gaeta and Rescue 242OIC DC Baker responded. The helicopter landed without incident at the Municipal Field behind police headquarters. The patient was transported from the scene by Oakland Ambulance and the transfer to the helicopter was made. All units returned to service shortly thereafter. Congrats to the brothers of FLFD on a quick patient removal. Call 2 rolled in around 1510 hrs when dispatch toned out for an activated fire alarm at the Market Basket on Sicomac Avenue. Chief Murphy Engine231OIC DC Brock and Truck241OIC Capt. Fisher responded. Investigation showed that the alarm was set off by smoke from cooking. The alarm system was reset and all units returned.-230
