pOn May 17th the Wyckoff Fire Department participated in the West Paterson Fire Departments 100th anniversary parade. The WFD brought its 1904 Nott Steam Engine to impress the crowds gathering the celebration. In addition the WFD Command Vehicle 230 and Engine 232 participated. ppEach piece of apparatus was judged against other departments. Wyckoff was proud to take home 3 impressive trophies for its efforts that day. They includedpp 2nd place best antique apparatus for the steamer ppnbsp2nd place for farthest traveled apparatus steamer not under own power and pp 2nd place best pumper Engine 232 under 10 years old. ppThe parade was a mix of almost 30 fire departments alone but also included police ambulance bands floatsnbspand community groups. Overall therenbspwas an estimated 2000 people who march and over 5000 people who attended. This was another big event in which the Wyckoff Fire Department truly represented. ppA big thanks goes out to Wyckoff Fire Departments Nick Ciampo for his infinite guidance and the history of the Nott Steamernbspand also to Company 2 member Ed Reiper who arranged for and drove the trailer carrying the steamer. p
