Early on the evening of May 15th, truck 241 was alerted on the 2nd alarm to a working structure fire in Waldwick on Van Ct. Units arrived to find heavy fire. Truck 241 was the first due truck and took the front of the building. Half of the crew took the roof and ventilated the structure while the other half made the push through the front door, performing searches and knocking down the bulk of the fire. Sadly, a victim was pulled from the fire and pronounced on scene. Engine 236 provided coverage at waldwick company 2. Great work by all members who responded.
