At 01:54am this morning, the Wyckoff Police received numerous reports of a possible building fire on Goffle Road. Subsequent callers reported heavy smoke coming from the building with visible fire inside the structure.
Chief Murphy #230 and Deputy Chief LoRusso #238 arrived on scene to find heavy smoke issuing from the one story restaurant facility. Chief Murphy immediately activated NORCON and requested a 2nd alarm assignment.
Engine #232 (OIC BC Hendrickson), Tower Ladder #241 (OIC DC Rose), Engine #233, Engine #231, Rescue #242 and the remainder of the Wyckoff assignment signed into service moments later.
Crews arrived on scene and were quickly able to get water on the seat of the fire before the fire could spread beyond the room of origin.
Thank you to all of the mutual aid towns who came out to assist as well as the Wyckoff Ambulance Corp. and the Ladies Auxiliary.
